Nameward is a free random name generator for game masters and players: fantasy, modern and cyberpunk names for humans, elves, dwarves, halflings, gnomes, orcs, tieflings and dragonborn.
Privacy
- Every name is generated on your device. After the page loads, the app makes no network requests.
- No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no cookies, no third-party code. The page's security policy blocks scripts from anywhere else.
- Saved names and your last settings are kept in this browser's local storage only. Clearing site data deletes them.
- The source code is public, small and readable: anyone can check these claims.

- Chrome, Edge, Android: use the Install APP button or the browser menu → Install.
- iPhone / iPad (Safari): Share → Add to Home Screen.
- After the first visit it works without an internet connection.
Free software
This app is free and open-source software, licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later. You may use, study, share and change it. Anyone who runs a changed version for other people must publish their source code too, so changes can't be hidden from the people using it.

Tips
- Press G to generate a new batch.
- Modern and cyberpunk names can be tied to a real-world culture; non-human ancestries mix their own names with those.
Disclaimer
All names are put together at random by a generator and are works of fiction, meant for games and stories. Any resemblance to real people, living or dead, or to existing characters is purely coincidental. Modern names combine common real-world first and last names, so a generated name may happen to match a real person's; that is chance, not a reference to anyone.
